How is it activated?

While the alarm can be activated directly from the app, a special feature allows to be activated via hardware containing Bluetooth. The system is built with an open API to allow other operators to connect their own devices. As an example, we are looking forward to see jogging alarms, fashion alarms and connected smartwatches. We have developed a prototype of a compatible hardware under the brand WithoutTheFear.

What happens when it’s activated?

When the app is activated, it will send a message of help and the user’s position to pre-selected recipients. The unique and important thing about Zeifie is that it also sends the alarm to other people in the vicinity, whether the user know them or not. The user’s location and information is revealed only to those who have chosen to respond to the alarm.

It is also possible for the user to provide personal information, such as medical conditions, which will only be visible to those who respond to the alarm

Who can download the app and why would they want to?

Anyone can download the app, register, and receive messages of help from others. It’s free to download app, but a subscription fee is required to send alerts. As a courtesy to our new clients, the system will be free of charge until the end of 2015.
